2025 LJSC show season!!!!!!!
Top two LA Bred in each species will receive an award at the LJSC Awards Banquet. Points for each LA Bred animal validated with the LJSC will receive points at each show. At the end of the years the two animals with the highest points and breeder of that animal will be recognized at LJSC Banquet.
Each animal will pay a $5.00 membership fee/animal. It is a one time fee/year for the 2021 LJSC show season for that animal for that animal to receive LA Bred points.
This fee must be paid before an animal can earn points & exhibitor must be a current LJSC member.
Breeder of TOP LA Bred will also be recognized.

We accomplish this by hosting a show circuit for swine, sheep, and goats. This circuit gives the kids the opportunity to exhibit their animals many times throughtout our summer show circuit; competing for points for both market animals and showmanship honors.
LJSC is an organization dedicated to furthering the education of youth that are interested in livestock projects. We promote the welfare of the Louisiana livestock industry and to provide opportunities for you to acquire life skills such as Knowlegde, Responsibility, Decision Making, Public Speaking, and Leadership through hands on education an practice behavior tha will enable them to become self directing, productive, and contributing members to society.
